About Us
We are The Curb Free Foundation, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that provides wheelchair users with travel grants. We review applications and give out travel grants on an ongoing basis, so if there is a destination that you’ve always dreamed of visiting and you use a wheelchair, we encourage you to apply today.
Why do we give out travel grants?
- First, we know that traveling can be expensive… especially as a wheelchair user. Whether you need to travel with a care attendant, book accessible accommodations, or travel with a tour company that specializes in accessibility in the destination you’re visiting, we know that there are added costs to traveling as a wheelchair user that can be prohibitively expensive. We want to help eliminate those cost barriers for you.
- Secondly, our founder, Cory of the popular travel blog Curb Free with Cory Lee, knows how rewarding traveling can be. Travel can change lives, push people to break out of their comfort zones, create a more empathetic world, and fill the soul with happiness. We want wheelchair users to be able to experience all of the magic that traveling entails, regardless of their budgets.
